15 year old Sarah is deaf. This means that she feels isolated from her peers, family and everyone in the outside world. She has plenty of arguments with her family and comes across as a moody teen. She’s fallen foul of the in-crowd of mean girls at school. But what happens when the hottest jock falls for her?

I recognised Nadine Garner from TV show The Henderson Kids which I used to watch back in the day. Steve Bastoni stars as the jock.
The Still Point feels like an after-school TV special. I can’t believe that being deaf was so stigmatised not so long ago.

The mean girls look like the models I’d see in L’Oreal hair ads in 80’s issues of Smash Hits. Which is quite funny.
The Still Point is OK but no great shakes. Dated but in a good way, this is an entertaining time capsule.
