Three female TV reporters find that their hotel reservations have been cancelled in a town where they are reporting on an annual festival. But, a kind man, one of them speaks to lets them know that they can stay at a local house owned by one of his relatives. But all is not what it seems in this very strange house.

I had never even heard of The Unseen until earlier today.
It feels like a very extreme TV movie. The print I saw was beautiful, and it’s very well directed, even though the director chose to use the pseudonym of Peter Foleg when the film was actually released.

The cast includes ex-Bond girl Barbara Bach and Douglas Barr later from The Fall Guy.
But what really makes The Unseen stand out from the rest of the pack is just how extreme it is. It goes into some very murky waters as it deals with incest, and the product of such vile unions is the horror within the film. Nothing is left to the imagination, and there were several times that I thought about jumping into the shower to scrub myself down with bleach a la Silkwood.

The kills are ingenious and brilliantly executed (pun not intended), which is fantastic.
At the end of the film, I had filed The Unseen in my head as a film I was glad I had seen but would never revisit.
