ABC of Horror- Day 25- Y- You’ll Die At Midnight (1986)

This Lamberto Bava movie involves a cop who realises that his woman is doing the dirty on him. After a violent bustup she is murdered which makes him the chief suspect.

All of the staple Giallo elements are here (gloved killer, sleazy locales, long overcoats, voyeurism etc etc) and You’ll Die At Midnight is entertaining enough but not top-tier Italian horror fare. Saying that, my interest never flagged.

But it feels like a cross between Tenebrae and Body Double whilst not being as good as either film.

The Simonetti soundtrack is fantastic.

Paolo Malco from the vastly superior New York Ripper features.

I will never look at an electric food mixer in the same way again (if you know, you know).
