A group of students stay on campus over Christmas to clean out an old dormitory. They are rewarded by being stalked and killed by a killer.

This slasher is pretty much textbook stuff. Some gory kills (the janitor who is killed with a drill was problematic for the BBFC) which aren’t executed all that well, music which rips off Bernard Herrmann’s score for Psycho, underdeveloped and dull characters…

Nothing much to see here. But, Synapse is preparing to release the early version of the film when it was provisionally called Death Dorm with more plot (not difficult) and gorier kills.

Pranks was re-released as The Dorm That Dripped Blood after it’s original release.
