Lauren, a novelist who suffers from agoraphobia, rents a house that used to be a brothel in the 1940’s. The house is haunted by the spirits of prostitutes that were previously murdered there.

The Nesting is basically a haunted house movie that you might enjoy if you came across it whilst flicking through channels looking for something decent to watch. But if you specifically seek out the film, it might be a little too quaint and low key to really enjoy.

There are a couple of interesting scenes though. The dodgy handyman who assaults Lauren but is then supernaturally attacked himself is great. The fact he is then attacked in the lake is also very well done. There’s also the scene in which Lauren is chased by Abner which is delightfully batshit crazy! The scythe to the head is great.

But other than that, it’s slim pickings.

Meh.
