A military plane is exposed to nuclear radiation. This means that everyone onboard disembarks after being turned into zombies who are thirsty for blood. What’s more, they are armed to the back teeth. A reporter and his doctor wife try to not become zombie nosh.

I had such high hopes for this Umberto Lenzi movie after reading the plot synopsis and seeing selected stills.

But, alas, this is pretty mediocre and absolutely nothing to write home about.

It’s interesting to see a director’s vision regarding what zombies can do and look like which is different to George A Romero’s convention rules. Here they can use guns and knives and can run. And STILL this is a dull film. They also look they’re covered in mud here which is strange.

It’s a shame as the scene in which the plane’s passengers disembark is a doozy. Unfortunately this momentum is very quickly lost as the film just becomes something very ‘meh’.
