A family move into a house that was the site of a witch’s execution centuries before. Paranormal hijinx ensue.

Superstition boasts impressive kills (the ones involving the circular saw and severed head in the microwave are doozies!) and a great turn by the witch who *is*actually a witch and not an innocent woman who has been wronged. Her pulsating forehead demonstrates that she’s a witch and it’s one hell of a party turn.

Unfortunately, the scenes linking the kills are a bit generic, as are some of the characters (we even get a female Crazy Ralph type character who even uses the word ‘Doomed!’)

Some of the acting is also, shall we say, raw which doesn’t really help matters.

But overall, this is solid. My attention was held and while there might be better such films out there, this is still worth seeing.
