What A Carry On!- Day 5- Carry On Regardless (1961)

Carry On Regardless is centred around an employment agency called Helping Hands and the assignments the temps there are placed on.

There is plenty of scope for some of the regular cast members to shine. And shine they do! There are some fantastic vignettes whether it’s Kenneth Williams organising a chimp’s tea party, Joan Sims moving through a wine-tasting evening like some kind of hurricane or Charles Hawtrey winning a boxing match, every sequence is very funny and very endearing.

The sequence in the Ideal Home Exhibition involves most of the regulars and is priceless! Let’s just say Williams and Sims end up in a bubble bath together…

As well as the regular troupe, we are also treated to the second appearance by boxer Freddie Mills, Fenella Fielding (playing a s*x starved wife called Penny Panting) and future Supergran, Molly Weir.

This is a varied, more episodic Carry On film. And it’s also one of the funniest.
