Halloween Reviewed- Day 13- Halloween Ends (2022)

From IMDB- ‘Four years after the events of last year’s Halloween Kills, Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson and is finishing writing her memoir. Michael Myers hasn’t been seen since. Laurie, after allowing the specter of Michael to determine and drive her reality for decades, has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life. But when a young man, Corey Cunningham, is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can’t control, once and for all.’

Ahh, so why devote the action of Halloween Ends to Michael Myers, when you can bring in a really irritating new character called Cory Cunningham as a kind of heir apparent to ‘the mask’? Of all of the stupid ideas they could have implemented, they go with the most stupid. At least they’re consistent after the truly awful previous two films.

Incoherent, lacking in suspense and with not a single character I cared about except for Michael who they have living in a cave and completely neutered.

This is a fitting conclusion to an appalling trilogy of movies.

Plenty of people went to see this movie to get home and write the most scathing reviews online and they were completely justified.

John Waters said he loves the sequels that stop franchises dead in their tracks. I bet even he hates Halloween Ends.
