Residents of a boarding house suspect supernatural forces at play when their friend dies in mysterious circumstances.

I guessed the type of film this would be within a few seconds of the start of this opus.
This is yet another shot-on-video effort, with no suspense, no likeable characters you can actually root for, and no discernible plot. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with shooting a film on video or with your phone as long as the material is top-notch, you’re making a film because you actually want to be creative and you’re not making some kind of cash grab project with no knowledge of the franchise you’re attaching it to or any love of horror cinema whatsoever.

Couldn’t the name ‘Amityville’ in relation to a series of films have been copy written or something?
What makes this film suck even more is that the dialogue was written as if it would win awards at some high-falutin’ film festival somewhere. It’s delivered in the same vein too. If it weren’t so dull, it would be vaguely funny. But it isn’t. The whole film feels like a college drama department production that was never destined to actually be released.

Troma’s Lloyd Kaufman stars in this. Why, Lloyd, why?!
This is judged by many as the worst of the Amityville series. So far, I agree with this.
