Two prom night couples accidentally crash into a car and then cross paths with you know who when they go for help for the driver of the hit car.

The Next Generation was directed by Kim Henkel who wrote the original.
This entry ranges from mildly interesting (the first ten minutes) through to generic tedium (the rest of the film). Whilst Henkel thought this film would return to the source material, it just feels like a strange, anaemic parody of the film we all know and love. No scares, no terror, just noise and a feeling of ‘there’s another hour to go! Oh, Christ…’

I love the fact that because soon to be Hollywood A-listers Matthew McConaughey and Renée Zellweger were part of the cast, they tried to limit its release after the rights were acquired by Columbia TriStar. Too funny.

Just stick with the original.
