The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Reviewed- Day 7- Texas Chainsaw 3D (2013)

A young woman finds out she has been left property in Texas in a relative’s will. Her and her friends travel down to check it out. But they encounter more than they banked on (i.e. a chainsaw-wielding psychopath).

I somehow didn’t go to see this film when it was released. I think that even with the kitsch device of 3D, I still thought this would be naff.

And, who knew? It is!

Texas Chainsaw 3D (watched by myself in 2D) features rubbish characters, plot holes aplenty, no suspense, and, indeed, no intelligence whatsoever.

It also features two ingredients that are sure to anger a horror fan such as myself- CGI and a rapper on the cast (because Busta Rhymes in Halloween: Resurrection was such a great idea).

This is on a par with most other Texas Chainsaw sequels i.e. it’s dire. This is more Jaws 3D than Friday the 13th Part 3D. If that doesn’t dissuade you, nothing will.
