The duo star as guardians of a mummy during its transportation. However, the mummy is stolen after its owner is murdered. The bumbling leads are left in possession of a pendant which holds the location of hidden treasure. They team up with a treasure hunter to find it.

So, what is one of the last Abbott and Costello films like which is also one of the last Universal Classic Monsters? Does it show any signs of fatigue for either series? The answer is no. This won’t knock anyone’s socks off but it still has more hits than misses when it comes to the gags.

There’s also great sets and production values which help to hide the fact that the actual mummy isn’t in the film that much. Almost.

This may not be the best A&C horror crossover but it’s still a solid piece of entertainment and isn’t a waste of anyone’s time.
