The campest horror film I’ve ever seen. Faye Dunaway, a supporting cast of gay fashion insiders (one of whom drags up to act as a decoy) and a theme song by Barbra Streisand. The campometer is off the chart.

However this isn’t just an excuse in camp folly. The murder scenes are brutal and gritty and the screenplay by John Carpenter is brilliant. The fashion shoots are also based on Helmut Newton and so they are a visual feast.

An amazing film that is one of a kind.
